Hi All! I am Trista

Trista Richardson, MS/OTR/L Holistic Occupational Therapist

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Languages: English

Owner: Soul Road Therapies and Wellness

Trista has worked in the health field for over 20 years. A nurturing person by nature, she is passionate about assisting others in living life to their fullest potential. Her practice as an occupational therapist began to evolve into a more holistic lens when she began her own healing journey. She believes it is vital to look at the whole person, mind, body, and spirit which can assist in transforming pain or dis-ease into strength.  She feels that we all experience trauma in our lives and if not treated properly, it can leave a wound within us that calls to be healed.  She knows the benefits firsthand of being grounded and connected to her heart and believes that when we can slow down the fast-paced lives that many of us live, we can then focus more on the things that are important to us. This is where true healing can begin.

My Focus Areas:

Trauma and how it impacts the body
Chronic pain and fatigue
Autoimmune diseases
Anxiety and Stress
Central Nervous System issues

Ideal Client:

  • Someone who is experiencing the frustration of feeling lost, disconnected, and in pain and not knowing where to turn.

  • Someone looking to gain a deeper awareness of self and dissolve pain through re-discovering what is truly important to themselves.

  • Someone who wants to make joy and happiness a priority and needs help to reconnect with their heart.

As a board-certified Occupational Therapist, I am attuned to assisting others to live their best life.  I believe an integrative approach of connecting mind, body, and spirit is imperative to bring balance into one's life. I utilize the modalities that will benefit you individually to develop a greater sense of awareness and help you find tools that best support you when life is at its most difficult.  I offer a combination of body awareness, breath, yogic and Ayurvedic perspectives, as well as the beneficial practice of meditation and the hands-on therapeutic intervention of Craniosacral therapy, With these modalities, I hope to offer you a greater understanding of how your nervous system works and how it impacts you when out of balance. Together we can create a path that will best suit your healing.

Personal information:

I am a wife, a mom, and a daughter. An eternal student who acknowledges that my greatest teachers are those whom I love the deepest, my family. They remind me daily to never give up on the authentic love I hold in my heart, as it is my greatest gift to myself and others. I love to travel and visit the sea and find equal connection when in the mountains. Finding an old piece of furniture at a yard sale or antique fair that has a story to tell is one of my favorite pastimes. I also have a new love of plants and I have found their beauty and growth within my home space to be rewarding as well as calming.
